Light Within

For the last two years, I have been neighbors with the wonderful Jax Mildner. In that time we quickly became friends and found that we had a similar kinship for the exploration of meaning through abstraction and admiration for each other's work.
For some time, despite the fact that I am by most standards, a realist painter, I prefer to explore composition initially through abstraction.
To me, abstraction is where the "idea" is first formed and we then wrestle with it until it forms to our personal narrative and aims to express our truth. More on this topic coming soon.

So... We dove into a collaboration and no surprise, it was all the things we hoped for.

The Light Within presents a wonderful harmony of color and texture while giving the viewer a peaceful and contemplative escape into their space.
