Like many of my larger paintings, I begin by conducting a series of drawings and studies to explore the deployment of specific technical processes (see "Subversion," an excerpt of "ZAIN" ).
Originally intended as a portrait study for the main character in my upcoming painting, it evolved into a fully realized piece. It is no secret that I enjoy experimenting with warm and cool contrasts in my artwork, and in this particular painting, I sought to push those boundaries to the extreme, creating an impactful portrait that captivates viewers from across the room. The artwork exudes an electric aliveness and motion that will enhance the beauty of any space it occupies.
